Obviously we can't teach you everything you need to know up at the unit, so there will be times when you will need to go away to learn new things
Though in my experience cadets don't find this much of a chore and cant wait to go on their next course.

The Sea Cadets have training centres all over the country, and the one Horsham Sea cadets make the most use of is the Southern Area Boatwork Station (SABS).

The cadets are accommodated on board H..M.S. Bristol, a decomissioned destroyer, which is moored off H.M.S. Excellent Naval base.
Provided the weather is suitable the cadets spend the weekend pulling, powerboating, and sailing in the waters of portsmouth harbour
This destroyer will be your home for the duration of your courses down at HMS Excelent. Three meals a day, warm bunks and a sea view. What more could you ask for.
